CONSULTA DE FOREX EN INGLES

"Good night. I've had the opportunity to speak to you and express my intentions in entering a real account in the near future. I still follow your blog with great interest and once again left here great tips for any beginner. However, there is one question that I haven't been able to clear up and I assume that is shared by many other beginners: how much is normal win/lose??? Well I know you will say that this is very variable depending on how much of each style, yet are always issues such as: duplicate the account balance in one week is normal? 10 pips a day will be a good purpose or is far from acceptable. It's not easy to explain what is normal or not, but I would like to take to leave a tip for a future post: in addition to other "real" examples of traders and trading styles, let's say I start a real account with such £ 500! If the account was his, and given its style, how would you proceed to manage your account so "healthy"? How many pips per day? How many lots? Maximum losses? "

First I want to thank you for the comment, passing then to give my opinion about your questions

"However, there is one question that I haven't been able to clear up and I assume that is shared by many other beginners: how much is normal win/lose?"

Actually how Joel says it all depends on the style of each.
However we cannot say one way nature as is normal win or lose, will say that cannot be normal to lose and will have to be normal to win so we can hold in this market. Hence the "status" that we should look for is what I mentioned in the article, which is reach the situation where we won on a regular and consistent, regardless of importance, since this depends on the amount invested in each operation, and is directly related to the account balance.

"duplicate account balance in one week is normal?"

It is not normal, nor could it be our objective to double the weekly account.
At this early stage due to the low amount of our investment will not be able to use a Money Management according to this amount because this proves to be insufficient to risk a maximum of 2 to 3% per trade, which only allowed us a stop loss of 10 or 15 pips.
It follows that at this stage we will play a little "overtrade".
We're talking about double a 500 Euros. Looks like a huge achievement. However if your account has a balance of 2 or 3000 Euros, where we should apply our money management, make these same 500 a week doesn't work so extraordinary.
It is not abnormal to win 200, 300 or 400 pips in a week.
Let's suppose that we made an entry in the start of a rising wave of which resulted in a profit of 200 pips. Then make a small market downturn and continues to trend upward to more 200 or 300 pips, (easily identifiable situation if you do a retrospective on the charts). We have here 400 or 500 pips with a position. Now according to some situations have shown on this site, let us suppose that we had entered with 2 closing positions with 50 or 100 pips, leaving the other in free race. Already exceeds these values.

"10 pips a day will be a good purpose or is far from acceptable"

When you earn on average 10 pips a day on a regular basis will have its future assured.
Otherwise, let's see: at this early stage in which operates with minimal entries in the value of 10000 units of the pair, each pip is worth $ 1. To make 10 pips a day we're talking about roughly in 220 pips/month that match $ 220. Now imagine operate with lots of 100,000. Give $ 2,200/month already. And by out there ...
Of course to operate lots of 100,000 or more will have to have a balance accordingly. There's always the proportionality. To operate a 100,000 batch we should have in our account 8 to 10000 Euros so that those 2 or 3% per entry permit a proper stop loss.

"Let's say I start a real account with such £ 500! If the account was his, and given its style, how would you proceed to manage your account so "healthy"? How many pips per day? How many lots? Maximum losses? "

This post already goes a little long, and as I want to answer this question in a more aligned, I will save that for a future post.
